We want to cut out the complexity of investing by giving you the ability to invest in the stock market based on your values.

If you’re unsure where to start we’ve given you a helping hand and created 3 portfolios which have already filtered our fund selection based on themes. Or if you’d like to create your own personal portfolio, you can instead opt to customise these and choose exactly which funds to include or exclude from your portfolio.

CIRCA5000 pre-filtered Portfolios

We’ve created 3 portfolios which filter the funds available with CIRCA5000 by themes.

These portfolios make it easier to decide where to invest because you can pick a theme you feel most passionate about and invest in all of the funds available on our platform working towards this theme.

The pre-filtered portfolios are:

  • People - You'll invest in companies helping humanity to thrive. Focusing on health, education and cybersecurity.

  • Planet - You'll invest in companies making the essentials accessible. Focusing on sustainable food, water and energy.

  • Planet & People - A combination of our Planet and People portfolios. You'll invest in energy, water, food, health, education and cybersecurity.

Each fund included in these portfolios invest in companies working towards the societal or environmental cause of the portfolio’s theme. And you'll always have a percentage of your portfolio invested in green bonds, government bonds and a percentage remaining in cash.

You'll be able to view the funds included in the pre-filtered portfolio you've chosen by viewing the KIIDs (Key Investor Information Document) which are available during sign up or if you switch portfolio at a later date.

What are the risk levels?

We offer 3 risk levels you can apply to these pre-filtered portfolios:

  • Cautious

  • Balanced

  • Adventurous

The Cautious risk level invests a higher percentage of your portfolio into green and government bonds (also with a higher percentage held in cash) and a lower percentage of your portfolio into the thematic funds.

The Adventurous risk level invests a lower percentage of your portfolio into green and government bonds (also with a lower percentage held in cash) and a higher percentage of your portfolio into the thematic funds.

You need to be comfortable with the risks you’re taking in your investment approach. We don’t offer individual advice or assess your tolerance to risk. Our pre-defined, non-personalised, risk levels are based on proportions of assets held in each asset class (stocks, bonds and cash). Some assets are generally considered to be lower risk and some are considered to be higher risk. The market would expect higher risk assets to also have a higher potential for returns, and lower risk assets to have more modest potential for returns. However, investments in higher risk assets also come with potentially higher losses.

If you wish to personalise your risk level then consider using our custom portfolios where you can choose your own asset allocation ratios. If you’re not comfortable making your own risk decisions please seek regulated and qualified financial advice.

Custom Portolios

Custom portfolios give you more control over where you’re investing by letting you include and exclude any of the funds available with CIRCA5000, regardless of their theme.

This means you can invest on a more granular level by choosing specific areas of impact you’d like to concentrate on, rather than all of the funds included in an overall theme.

Each fund invests in companies working towards the societal or environmental cause which the fund is focusing on.

What are the risk levels?

Similar to your fund selection, you’ll customise your risk level by entering the percentage you’d like to invest in each fund, bond or to be held in cash.

To take a more cautious approach you might look to have a higher percentage of your portfolio held in cash and/or bonds, and a lower percentage of your portfolio in the thematic funds.

To take a more adventurous approach you might look to have a lower percentage of your portfolio held in cash and/or bonds and a higher percentage of your portfolio in the thematic funds.
